The Department of Sports is organising Special Campaign 2.0 for Swachhta and disposal of pending matters in the main Secretariat and in the organisations under it, namely, Sports Authority of India (SAI), Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE), National Sports University (NSU), National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) and National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) from 2nd October, 2022 to 31st October, 2022.
In the Preparatory Phase, the Department of Sports and its organisations sensitized and encouraged the local level functionaries and offices for the Campaign and identified pendency and the Campaign sites for the Special Campaign 2.0.
During the Campaign Phase, sincere efforts are being made by the Department and its organisations to dispose of all pendencies identified during the Preparatory Phase. Progress is being regularly reviewed and uploaded on SCPDM portal. Further significant progress has been achieved in disposal of references received from various State Governments during the ongoing Campaign by the Department.
A special campaign was also conducted under the Fit India banner with regard to cleanliness drive by organising a Freedom Run on 2nd October where participants came together for a fit (Swasth) and litter free (Swachhta) India. The aim was also to promote Fitness along with cleanliness which was realised through the Plog Run activity. Famous sports personalities are also being involved in creating awareness about cleanliness and social media is also being used for the purpose.
