COVID-19 Update
India’s Cumulative COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 114.46 Cr
More than 73.44 Lakh doses administered in the last 24 hours
Recovery Rate currently at 98.28%
11,919 New Cases reported in the last 24 hours
India’s Active Case load stands at 1,28,762
Weekly Positivity Rate (0.94%) less than 2% for last 55 days
With the administration of 73,44,739 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded114.46 Cr (1,14,46,32,851) as per provisional reports till 7 am today. This has been achieved through 1,17,53,091 sessions.
The break-up of the cumulative figure as per the provisional report till 7 am today include:

The recovery of11,242 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,38,85,132.
Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.28%.
Sustained and collaborative efforts by the Centre and the States/UTs continue the trend of less than 50,000 Daily New Cases that is being reported for 144 consecutive days now.
11,919new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
The Active Caseload presentlystands at1,28,762.Active cases presently constitute 0.37% of the country’s total Positive Cases, which is lowest since March 2020.
The testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded. The last 24 hours saw a total of 12,32,505 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 62.82 Cr (62,82,48,841) cumulative tests.
While testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, Weekly Positivity Rate at 0.94% remains less than 2% for the last 55 days now. The Daily Positivity rate reported to be0.97%. The daily Positivity rate has remained below2% for last 45 days and below 3% for 80 consecutive days now.

Update on COVID-19 Vaccine Availability in States/UTs
More than 128 Crore vaccine doses provided to States/UTs
More than 22.45 Crore balance and unutilized vaccine doses still available with States/UTs
The Union Government is committed to accelerating the pace and expanding the scope of COVID-19 vaccination throughout the country. The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from 21st June 2021. The vaccination drive has been ramped up through availability of more vaccines, advance visibility of vaccine availability to States and UTs for enabling better planning by them, and streamlining the vaccine supply chain.
As part of the nationwide vaccination drive, Government of India has been supporting the States and UTs by providing them COVID Vaccines free of cost. In the new phase of the universalization of the COVID19 vaccination drive, the Union Government will procure and supply (free of cost) 75% of the vaccines being produced by the vaccinemanufacturers in the country to States and UTs.
