Waves Film Bazaar partners with Storiculture’s ProducerLAND to empower South Asian film producers

National Film Development Corporation’s (NFDC) Waves Film Bazaar 2025 has announced a strategic collaboration with Storiculture’s flagship program ProducerLAND to present a high-impact Producers’ Lab at the 19th edition of Waves Film Bazaar, scheduled from 20–24 November 2025 at  Panjim, Goa.

The 2025 Producers’ Lab will host intermediate South Asian producers across two distinct tracks: the Career Track, focusing on professional growth and mentorship for producers without an active project, and the Project Track, offering guidance, feedback, and showcase opportunities for producers actively developing a project.
Applications for the Lab will open on 4 October 2025 and close on 24 October 2025. Over four days (21–24 November 2025), participants will engage in masterclasses, intensive mentoring, project-focused groups, and evening networking sessions. The program will combine experiential learning, global market insights, financing strategies, and co-production opportunities in a collaborative environment.
Selected fellows of the 2025 Lab will also gain access to ProducerLAND’s vibrant year-round community, unlocking continued mentorship, peer engagement, and collaborative opportunities beyond the market itself.
This premium vertical of Waves Film Bazaar is dedicated to empowering South Asian producers and fostering global collaborations, reinforcing both organisations’ shared vision of creating world-class learning, networking, and co-production opportunities for producers navigating international markets.
Waves Film Bazaar has a strong history of curating focused, closed-door sessions for South Asian producers, featuring acclaimed industry leaders such as Academy Award-winning producer Guneet Monga and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Richie Mehta. In turn, ProducerLAND brings its proven track record of high-impact cohorts that foster mentorship, peer networks, and strategic guidance — having connected over 80 producers across eight cohorts since 2021.
Initiated by NFDC in 2007, Waves Film Bazaar has grown into South Asia’s largest film market and a leading platform for collaboration between South Asian talent and the international film fraternity.
