TRAINING AND AWARENESS PROGRAMMES
The details of training and capacity building interventions under the schemes implemented by Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD), Government of India (GoI) is given at Annexure-I and Annexure II

Annexure-I
The details of training provided through DAHD, GoI schemes:
National Livestock Mission (NLM):
Under National Livestock Mission Assistance is provided for various activities for scheme promotion and animal husbandry promotion through IEC activities like seminar, training and capacity Building, Livestock Farmers Groups/Breeder’s Association, Organization of various promotional activities including livestock mela.
Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM): Under RGM following efforts have been made to create awareness among farmers: (i) Organization of fertility camps; (ii) Milk Yield Competition; (iii) Calf rallies and organization of workshop and conclaves; (iii) induction of Multi-Purpose Artificial Insemination Technicians in Rural India (MAITRIs) after training and equipping community resource persons for delivery of Artificial Insemination Services at Farmers doorstep
National Programme for Dairy Development (NPDD):
Component A of NPDD: Under NPDD scheme, there is provision for providing financial assistance for training to farmers in good hygienic practices/ Good Manufacturing Practices. Training of Dairy Personnel/milk tester, Training on Quality management systems, Training of DCS staff/ BMC/ chilling centre/ AMCU/ DPMCU on operations and quality management and Training of Management Committee Members & Board of Directors of New/ Revived dairy cooperatives/ MPCs on society operations.
Component B of NPDD: Under Comp B of NPDD, the following training are provided:
Livestock Health and Disease Control Programme (LHDCP): Under Assistance to States for Control of Animal Disease (ASCAD) of LHDCP, financial support is also provided for undertaking trainings and prevention & control of prioritized economically important exotic, emergent and zoonotic animal diseases. Moreover, the Programme on “Scientific Livestock Management” are implemented through ICAR- KVKs. On following subjects –

This information was given by Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh in the Lok Sabha in response to a question asked.
- and (e) The financial and physical progress of DAHD schemes are at Annexure-III and Annexure-IV.
- Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India has in place monitoring mechanism under the respective scheme guidelines to sanction and review the projects as per norms. In addition, national and regional review meetings with States, along with independent National Level Monitors, ensure transparent, on-ground monitoring. These mechanisms ensure timely and effective utilisation of funds and accelerate execution of schemes across the country including Andhra Pradesh.
