1. Mr. Avadh Bihari Kaushik, learned counsel for the petitioner is agreeable to this writ petition being disposed of, for the present, with a direction to the Directorate of Education (DoE) to take a decision on the petitioners representation dated 25 April 2024, annexed as Annexure P-6 to this writ petition, whereby the petitioner has sought reimbursement of school fees in respect of EWS/DG students studying with the petitioner from Classes IX to XII, or for permission to the petitioner to charge fee from the said students.
2. Mr. Panwar, learned counsel for the DoE, undertakes that a decision on the said representation would be taken within a period of three weeks from today and the outcome intimated to the petitioner as soon as it is taken.
3. Needless to say, the decision would be reasoned and speaking and would deal with all the issues which have been raised in the representation dated 25 April 2024.
4. The petitioner shall be afforded an opportunity of personal hearing by the Deputy Director of Education (DDE) in this regard, for which purpose, the petitioner shall present itself before the DDE on 24 May 2024 at 11 am.
5. The petitioner, should it continue to be aggrieved by the decision of the respondent on the representation, would be at liberty to avail of all remedies in law as may be available to it.
6. Reserving such liberty, this petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
