Special Campaign 4.0 is in full swing in the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). It is being implemented in DoT HQ at Sanchar Bhavan, New Delhi and also in its attached, subordinate, field offices & PSUs across pan India. The campaign is being personally monitored by Secretary (T),
During the first two weeks of the Campaign’s implementation phase, 85% of MP References, 93% of public grievances, 94% of public grievance appeals, and 75% of state government references have been addressed or resolved.
Scrap removal and freeing of office space are proceeding briskly.

As a citizen centric initiative, a mobile application “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” has been launched which combining environmental responsibility with a personal touch, where citizens can plant a tree in honour of their respected mother and record the location, latitude, longitude, and timestamp of the dedicated tree. The app allows them to update the tree’s growth by uploading a new image every 30 days.
As a part of Cyber Swachhata initiative, an MOU was signed between Telecom Centres of Excellence India (TCOE) and National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) Gandhinagar for setting up of Centre of Excellence on Telecom Security.
To bring 5G to citizens’ daily life, labs with indigenously developed 5G technology are being set up at 100 institutions across the country.
Further, as an innovative practice, in order to promote cleanliness drives in field offices of the Department pan India, a separate allocation for the cleanliness campaign from the Sawacchatha Action Plan funds has been made to each Field Unit of DoT.
