Scheme to Provide Employment
The Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) being implemented by the Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying , Government of India over a period of 5 years from Financial Year 2020-21 to FY 2024-25 aims to generate direct and indirect employment opportunities to about 55 lakh fishers, fish farmers, fish workers, fish vendors and other rural/urban populations in fishing and allied activities in all States/ UTs including Uttar Pradesh. For development of fisheries and aquaculture in Uttar Pradesh, the projects with total outlay of Rs. 1294.32 Crore including central share of Rs. 412.30 Crore have been sanctioned under PMMSY during last four years and Current Financial Year. As reported by Government of Uttar Pradesh, PMMSY Scheme has been expanded to 75 districts covering 14013 nos of beneficiaries directly and indirect employment to 3.5 lakh beneficiaries covering various activities and the district wise details is at Annexure-I. Further, the district -wise details of training imparted to the people to make aware under the aforesaid scheme during the last three years is at Annexure-II.
