Promotion of Domestic Tourism

Ministry of Tourism promotes tourism destinations and products of India through various initiatives including promotional events, assistance to State Governments for organizing fairs and festivals, website and social media etc.

The Ministry also provides financial assistance to State Governments/ Union Territory Administrations for development and promotion of tourism related infrastructure under its various schemes.

Details of the funds allocated to States and Union Territory Administrations under various tourism infrastructure schemes in last three year is at ANNEXURE.

This information was given by Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in a written reply in Lok Sabha today.
