On the Eve of 79th Independence Day, Indian Railways Joins Har Ghar Tiranga Celebrations With Great Enthusiasm & Joy
On the eve of 79th Independence Day, Chairman & CEO of Railway Board, Sh. Satish Kumar, Railway Board Members, Secretary of Railway Board, and other officers & staff of Railway Board participated with the National Flag in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ event held at Rail Bhawan today. The National Flag was distributed among Railway staff members. Mass participation was observed by Railway employees in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign launched under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage citizens to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it in celebration of India’s independence. The initiative emerged from the idea that our connection with the National Flag has traditionally been formal and institutional rather than personal. Bringing the flag home serves as a symbolic act of personal association with the Tiranga and reflects our shared commitment to nation-building. The campaign aims to inspire patriotism and raise awareness about the Indian National Flag among the people.
Indian Railways have joined the 79th Independence Day celebrations with great enthusiasm and joy. Prominent railway stations, offices, buildings, and residential colonies are adorned with the National Flag and illuminated in tricolour lighting. Station buildings are tastefully decorated, and iconic railway bridges proudly display the National Flag, adding to the patriotic spirit. Various programmes like Tiranga Yatra, Quiz Competitions were organized today.
