National e-Governance Division organizes a Capacity Building Programme under Digital India on ‘Digital Transformation of the Organization & Economy’

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) under its Digital India Vision plans and implements its capacity building initiatives in Digital Governance. As part of this, a 4-day training programme on ‘Digital Transformation of the Organization & Economy’ has been organized at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad from August 11 – 14, 2025 by National e- Governance Division (NeGD), MeitY for the officials of Central and State Governments across the country. A total of 27 officers from various Central Line Ministries and States/UTs, including Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, New Delhi, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal participated in the programme.

The program was inaugurated by Shri Rajnish Kumar, COO & Director, NeGD, MeitY on 11th August, 2025. Shri Kumar highlighted India’s pioneering digital journey powered by DPIs- identity, payments, and data exchange and emphasized citizen-centric service delivery. He called for case studies, policy frameworks, and impact assessments to shape the future of digital transformation.

The programme is designed to equip public officials with a comprehensive understanding of the digital economy, emphasizing the transformative role of Digital Technologies—such as Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and Artificial Intelligence—in governance and service delivery. Through thematic modules and interactive sessions, participants can explore key areas including responsible digital transformation, data-driven decision-making, inclusive service delivery, and the strategic value of emerging technologies. The curriculum is a blend of lectures, case studies, and hands-on activities to foster innovative thinking and practical application in sectors like health, governance, and beyond.

The Capacity-Building scheme under the Digital India Programme intends to build adequate and relevant capacities at all government levels and provide need-based training to conceptualize, lead, design, and implement e-Governance projects. Vigorous efforts have been made to reach a large number of government officials and train them in relevant skills.
