MoRTH achieves 100% of targets in cleanliness activities, covers 15,004 sites across the country
The Special Campaign 5.0 for the disposal of pending matters and cleanliness has reached its midway mark. The campaign is being carried out vigorously by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) and its agencies to achieve the targets identified under various parameters during the preparatory phase.
The Ministry has achieved 100% of its targets in cleanliness activities, covering 15,004 sites across the country. These sites include offices, construction camps/sites, National Highway stretches, toll plazas, wayside amenities, roadside dhabas, and bus stops, among others. So far, 22% of pending MP references (730), 68% of pending public grievances (1,147), and 38% of public grievance appeals (522) have been disposed of.
The Nodal Officer of the campaign in MoRTH is reviewing the progress regularly and personally taking up pending matters with the concerned senior officers for timely disposal. As a special initiative to ensure effective monitoring and implementation, the Ministry has nominated senior officers to inspect its regional offices across the country, including NH stretches, toll plazas, and wayside amenities.
To ensure wider outreach, various activities of the campaign are also being disseminated through social media platforms such as X (Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook.
