Ministry of Steel Invites AI Startups to collaborate in developing real and deployable innovations for the steel industry at India AI Impact Summit 2026
The Ministry of Steel, along with its Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), is participating in the India AI Impact Summit 2026 being held from 16–20 February 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
The Ministry has set up a dedicated stall at the Summit to present key problem statements from the mining and steel sectors. The initiative aims to invite Artificial Intelligence (AI) start-ups and innovators to develop practical and effective solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, sustainability and safety across the steel value chain.
This initiative aligns with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of harnessing Artificial Intelligence to accelerate India’s industrial transformation, strengthen technological leadership and foster innovation-led growth.
Through this platform, the Ministry seeks to create meaningful partnerships between industry stakeholders and emerging technology enterprises to address real-world challenges faced by the steel sector.

The Ministry of Steel invites AI start-ups and innovators to actively participate in this interaction and collaborate in building solutions for the sector. Such partnerships are expected to contribute to the broader vision of a technologically advanced, innovation-driven and self-reliant India.
As part of the Summit, Secretary (Steel), along with the Chairpersons and Managing Directors (CMDs) of CPSEs including Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and NMDC Limited, will hold an exclusive interactive session with AI start-ups. The session is scheduled on 18 February 2026 from 11:30 AM onwards at Conference Hall No. 1, First Floor, Exhibition Hall No. 5, Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The interaction aims to encourage participation and promote AI-driven solutions tailored to the needs of the steel and mining sectors.
The Ministry encourages innovators to bring forward their AI-based solutions to help address sectoral challenges and become partners in India’s AI-driven steel sector transformation.
