J U D G M E N T (oral)

1. The present writ of Habeas Corpus under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been preferred by the petitioner seeking the following prayer:-
�a. Issue directions to the Respondents to trace out the son of petitioner Master A @ B who is missing since 10.08.2023 and issue a Writ in nature of Habeas Corpus.
b. Issue directions to take appropriate legal action against the culprits, if any, involved in commission or abatement of the offence�
2. Learned Standing Counsel for the State submits that FIR No. 834/2023 has already been registered on 11.08.2023 for the offence punishable under Section 363 IPC at PS Wazirabad. He further submits that pursuant to the directions contained in order dated 22.12.2023, the matter has already been transferred to Anti-Human Trafficking Unit, Crime Branch, Delhi.

Vide order dated 11.03.2024, respondent/State was directed to take all necessary steps to ensure that in such type of matters, the vital personal information of complainant is not put in public domain and only the name and contact details of SHO or IO of the case are reflected on ZIPNET. Commissioner of Delhi Police was also directed to issue necessary directions to said effect.
4. Pursuant to said order dated 11.03.2024, two status reports have been filed today.
5. One Status report has been filed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Legal Division, Delhi wherein it is stated that the said directions of this Court have been circulated to the DCsP/Districts including Metro, IGIA, Railway and Crime for meticulous compliance. The Director, Delhi Police Academy has also been directed to include the directions of this Court dated 11.03.2024 in the basic as well as refresher training curriculum of IOs. It is further stated that necessary addendum in Standing Order No. Crime/18/2022 titled as �Procedure to be followed on receipt of information about missing children persons & incentive to police personnel for recovery of missing children� has also been made so as to incorporate the directions of this Court. In addition, necessary changes have been made in Zipnet software to ensure that complainants� personal information is not available in public domain.
6. The other status report has been filed by the Asstt. Commissioner of Police, Anti Human Trafficking Unit, Crime Branch, Delhi whereby the steps taken to trace out the missing child have been elaborated. As per the status report, all possibilities are being explored to get information about the missing minor boy and wide publicity has also been made in this regard.
7. In view of the above, Anti-Human Trafficking Unit, Crime Branch, Delhi is directed to file monthly status report before the concerned Metropolitan Magistrate with advance copy to petitioner and, if any, clue is found about the minor son of the petitioner, the same be communicated to the petitioner.
8. With the directions as aforesaid, the present petition is disposed of.
