J U D G M E N T (oral)

1. The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, 1950 read with Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 seeking issuance of writ of habeas corpus for production of daughter of the petitioner.
2. It is stated in the status report submitted by respondent that the petitioner is mother of alleged missing girl, namely, Ms. Annu and she has averred that her daughter, aged 19 years, has been missing since morning of 04.01.2024.
3. The daughter of the petitioner is present in Court and submits that she had left the house of her parents on her own and is presently living at Jhajjar, Haryana with her friend and their family.
4. Since the daughter of petitioner is 19 years old and, admittedly, major and has every right to live wherever she wants, therefore, no further order is required to be passed in the present petition.
5. Petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
