$~89
* IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI
+ W.P.(C) 7215/2023 & CM APPL. 28119/2023
LOKESH CHUGH ….. Petitioner
Through: Mr. Naman Joshi and Mr. Shivam Gera, Advs.

versus

UNIVERSITY OF DELHI & ORS. ….. Respondents
Through: Mr. Mohinder J.S. Rupal and Mr. Hardik Rupal, Advs.

CORAM:
HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE C. HARI SHANKAR
O R D E R (ORAL)
% 06.05.2024

1. The petitioner’s Ph. D thesis, which was submitted on 4 March 2024, has been re-submitted by the Head of the Department to the Examination Cell.

2. Mr. Naman Joshi, learned Counsel for the petitioner, submits that, with this, a substantial part of the petitioner’s grievance stands assuaged. He, however, prays that the University of Delhi may be directed to notify the date for viva voce in a time bound manner.

3. Mr. Rupal submits that it may not be possible for the University of Delhi to stipulate any particular time within which the viva voce would be held as it requires several external examiners to be co-opted, whose convenience would also have to be ascertained. He, however, submits that the matter would be proceeded with as expeditiously as possible.

4. Mr. Joshi submits that in view of the said statement, the writ petition may be disposed of.

5. In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
