GSV and CII signs MoU in the presence of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw
Sh. Ashwini Vaishnaw (Hon’ble Union Minister of Railways, I&B, Electronics & IT) graced the occasion of signing the Memorandum of Understanding between Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) today at the International Railway Conference 2025 and International Equipment Exhibition (IREE) 2025 in Delhi. Prof. Manoj Choudhary Vice Chancellor, GSV and Mr. Chandrajit Banerjee Director General, CII were the signatories of the MOU occasion.
On the occasion, Minister Sh. Vaishnaw highlighted the need of skilled manpower for the Railways and Transportation sector, and urged the domestic and international industry members present there to come forward and work with GSV for their skilling requirements and plans. He also urged GSV to help contribute to technology-oriented modernization in the Railways.
The MoU shall serve as a tool to further strong Industry-Academia portfolio of GSV and to bridge the gap between academics and industry to ready the skilled manpower for future to aid the aim of Viksit Bharat 2047. That shall also support India’s vision for sustainable growth and advanced infrastructure development.
On this occasion, a total of 34 member companies of CII exchanged Letter of Intent (LoI) with GSV. This showcases GSV as the focal point for Industry-focussed university for the entire transportation and logistics sector. The broad areas of engagement in these partnership are as follows:
1. Curriculum Development: Co-develop modules and case studies aligned with industry needs, ensuring students are equipped with practical and future-ready skills.
2. Student Training: Engage in guest lectures, workshops, and hands-on training sessions to enhance student exposure to real-world challenges.
3. Internships: Offer internship opportunities to support GSV students in gaining industry experience
