(JNU) & ORS. ….. Respondents

CORAM:
HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE C.HARI SHANKAR

1. The main grievance of the petitioner in this case is after having passed office order No.125/CP/2023 dated 7 November 2023 withdrawing the petitioner’s rustication order after accepting the unconditional apology and fine tendered by him, the JNU again modified the said order vide office order no.129/CP/2023 dated 10 November 2023.

2. Mr. Navdeep Singh appearing for the JNU initially submitted that the JNU had passed an order dated 22 December 2023 which according to him satisfied the grievance of the petitioner.

3. However, a reading of the said office order shows that it is not seriously assuaged the grievance in the petition.

4. Mr. Navdeep Singh has, therefore, taken instructions and informed the Court that the office order no.129/CP/2023 dated 10 November 2023 and office order no.142/CP/2023 dated 22 December 2023 shall be treated as withdrawn and the office order no.125/CP/2023 dated 7 November 2023 stands restored.

5. In that view of the matter, Mr. V.K. Mishra, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is no surviving grievance.

6. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
