1. Mr. Mayank Manish, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that, after the present writ petition had been a filed, a show cause notice dated 21 December 2023 under Section 17 of the National Council for Teacher Education Act, 1993 has been served on the petitioner, to which the petitioner has filed a response. He prays that the petition may be disposed of with a direction to the South Regional Committee (SRC) of the NCTE to take a decision on the show cause notice within a period of four weeks from today, after granting an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
2. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of, with a direction to the SRC to take a decision on the show cause notice dated 21 December 2023 filed by the petitioner, after granting prior opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
3. Needless to say, the show cause notice would also take into consideration all contentions advanced in the reply filed by the petitioner as well as during the hearing.
4. Should the petitioner be aggrieved by any decision taken on the show cause notice, the right of the petitioner in law stands reserved.
5. The writ petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
