Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti to participate in Special Campaign 3.0 from 2nd October – 31st October, 2023 for promoting Swachhta and disposal of pending references.

With the aim to fulfil the objective of institutionalising Swachhta and minimising pendency in Government Offices, the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) has issued guidelines to carry out the Special Campaign 3.0 from 2nd October to 31st October, 2023. The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS) is, accordingly, participating in, the above Campaign 3.0 from 2nd October – 31st October, 2023 and, the Preparatory Phase of the campaign starting on 15th September, 2023.

2. DDWS has also participated in the Special Campaign 2.0 for disposal of pending references and promoting swachhta during the period from 2nd October – 31st October, 2022 in its secretariat and at the field office under its administrative control.  During the implementation Phase of the Special Campaign from 2nd October – 31st October, 2022, pendency in various categories such as VIP References, IMC Reference, State Government Reference, PMO References, Public Grievances and PG Appeals were disposed of efficiently and identified files were reviewed.  As a result of special campaign, space of 600 square feet had been generated.  The achievements made during the campaign were uploaded on the SCDPM Portal also, created by the DARPG.  Social media was also involved for publicity of the campaign.

 

3. The efforts under Special Campaign 2.0 were continued post campaign through November, 2022 to August, 2023.  The highlights of the achievements in terms of disposal of pending references during Nov., 2022 – August, 2023 are as follows:

(i)      VIP references                         –        48

(ii)     State Government References  –        88

(iii)    Public Grievances                     –        3428

(iv)    Public Grievances Appeal         –        215

 

4.  Now, the DDWS is preparing to further participate actively in the Special Campaign 3.0 to start from 2nd October, 2023.
