Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying initiated Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund with a scheme outlay of Rs.15000 crore under Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan stimulus package

Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme (DEDS) was implemented by Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India through National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) from September 2010 to March 2020.

To support dairy entrepreneurship, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying has initiated Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund with a scheme outlay of Rs.15000 crore under Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan stimulus package for incentivizing the (i) the dairy processing and value addition infrastructure, (ii) meat processing and value addition infrastructure (iii) Animal Feed Plant (iv) Breed improvement technology and Breed multiplication farm (v) Setting up of veterinary vaccine and drugs production facilities and (vi) Animal waste of wealth management (Agri waste management).

This information was given by Shri Parshottam Rupala, Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying in a written reply in Lok Sabha today.
