Indian Railways has significantly ramped up its project execution capability in recent years. Gross Budgetary Allocation for Railway has increased approximately 8 times from ₹ 32,300 crore in FY 2014–15 to ₹ 2,52,200 crore in FY 2025–26 for expanding the network capacity.
Ministry of Railways has launched Amrit Bharat Station Scheme for redevelopment of stations with a long-term approach. So far, 1,337 stations have been identified for development under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Development works at railway stations under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme have been taken up at a good pace. Till now, works have been completed at 180 stations. Names of stations completed so far are as following:

Jalore Lok Sabha Constituency:
Jalor station: The works of station building, porch, toilet, entry/exit gate and boundary wall have been completed. The works of circulating area and Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Marwar Bhinmal station: The works of station building, porch, platform surfacing and platform shelter at platform no. 1, toilet, entry/exit gate and boundary wall have been completed. The works of circulating area and Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Pindwara station: The works of station building and platform shelter have been completed. The works of circulating area and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Chhattisgarh:
Bhilai Power House station: The works of new second entry station building, improvement of main entry station building, platform upgradation, improvement of waiting areas, development of circulating area, parking, lifts, escalators and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been completed. The finishing works of station building and improvement of illumination on platforms have been taken up.
Dallirajhara station: The works of improvement of station building, waiting areas, toilet, platform upgradation and Public Address System have been completed. The works of improvement of circulating area, landscaping, art & culture works, signage and improvement of illumination on platforms have been taken up.
Raipur Junction station: The works of utility shifting and relocation at second entry side have been completed. The structural works of second entry station building, multi level parking facility on both main and second entry side, service buildings and development of circulating area at second entry side have been taken up.
Sarona station: The works of new second entry station building, improvement of main entry station building, platform upgradation, improvement of waiting areas, development of circulating area, parking, Public Address System, lifts, escalators and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been completed. The finishing works of station building, landscaping, art & culture and improvement of illumination on platforms have been taken up.
Delhi:
Narela station: The works of platform shelter, platform surfacing, modern toilet, circulating area, parking and Divyangjan facilities have been taken up.
Subzi Mandi station: The works of new station building, platform shelter, platform surfacing, modern toilet, circulating area, parking, Divyangjan facilities, lift and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Tilak Bridge station: The works of new station building, platform shelter, platform surfacing, modern toilet, circulating area, parking, Divyangjan facilities and lift have been taken up.
Karnataka:
Bangalore Cantonment station: The works of diversion road on South side, training centre, hostel on North side and electric substation building have been completed. The works of South side station building, North side station building, circulating area and Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Chamaraja Nagar station: The works of improvement of station building, entrance porch, platform shelter, platform surfacing, waiting hall, booking counter, circulating area and parking have been completed. The works of lift, escalator and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Ghataprabha station: The works of platform surfacing, platform shelter, circulating area, lift, escalator and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Hosapete station: The works of improvement of station building, platform shelter, improvement of waiting hall and coach indication board at platform no. 1 have been completed. The works of platform surfacing, coach indication board at platform no. 2/3, lift, escalator and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Ranibennur station: The works of improvement of station building, entrance porch, platform shelter, platform surfacing, waiting hall, toilet, circulating area, parking and entry arch have been completed. The works of lift, escalator and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Maharashtra including Palghar district:
Palghar station: The works of new platform shelter at platform no. 2/3, platform surfacing, new coping blocks and tactile tile work at platform no. 4 have been completed. The works of utility shifting and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Diva station: The works of improvement of station building, circulating area and parking on East side, new entry gate, platform raising and flooring of platform no. 5/6 and 7/8, platform shelter at platform no. 7/8, new toilet block, sewage treatment plant on West side, improvement of Foot Over Bridge at Kalyan end and Mumbai end have been completed. The work of new 6 m Foot Over Bridge has been taken up.
Mumbra station: The works for improvement of platform surface, seating arrangement, new toilet block, improvement of booking office, circulating area, sewage treatment plant and flooring of Foot Over Bridge have been completed. The work of escalator has been taken up.
Titwala station: The works for station building, entrance gate, platform surfacing, improvement of ticket booking office, toilet block, sewage treatment plant, improvement of two wheeler parking and approach road on East and West side have been completed. The work of new 6 m Foot Over Bridge has been taken up.
Vikhroli station: The works for improvement of station building on West side, platform surfacing, platform shelter, new toilet block at Mumbai end, improvement of toilet block at Kalyan end and Foot Over Bridge have been completed. The works of new booking office, circulating area on East and West side and parking of East side have been taken up.
Igatpuri station: The structural work new station building, improvement of existing station building, entrance gate, booking office, toilet block, platform surfacing, platform shelter, circulating area and sewage treatment plant have been completed. The finishing work of new station building has been taken up.
Gujarat including Sabarkantha district:
Himmatnagar station: The works of new station building, improvement of existing station building, water booth, toilet, circulating area, parking and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Dahod station: The works of improvement of station building, porch, platform surfacing of platform no. 1, improvement of booking counter, waiting hall, waiting room, pay and use toilet, circulating area, entry/exit gate and signages have been completed. The work of 12 m Foot Over Bridge has been taken up.
Limkheda station: The works of new station building, raising of platform no. 1 & 2, improvement of platform surface, toilet at platform no. 1 & 2/3, improvement of circulating area and entry/exit gate have been completed. The works of signages and 6 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Asarva station: The works of new station building, porch, new waiting room, booking counter and toilet block have been completed. The works of new platform shelter, platform surfacing, circulating area, parking, Divyangjan facilities and finishing work of concourse area have been taken up.
Sehore station: The works of platform surface, platform shelter, waiting hall, toilet, circulating area, approach, signage and station illumination have been completed. The work of 12 m Foot Over Bridge has been taken up.
Himachal Pradesh:
Development works at Amb Andaura and Baijnath Paprola stations have been completed. Palampur Himachal and Shimla stations are under master planning.
Master Planning is an iterative process requiring optimization and the time frame and other details for such optimization cannot be indicated at this stage.
Ambala division of Northern Railway:
Ambala City station: The works of improvement of station building, entrance porch, platform surface, AC waiting room, improvement of second class waiting room, toilet, circulating area, parking, entry/exit gate and signage have been completed. The works of lift and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Kalka station: The works of improvement of station building, entrance porch, improvement of waiting room, retiring room, circulating area, parking, entry/exit gate and signage have been completed. The works of platform surfacing, lift and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Yamunanagar Jagadhari station: The works of improvement of station building, waiting room, toilet, circulating area, parking, entry/exit gate and signage have been completed. The works of platform surfacing, development of second entry, lift and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Patiala station: The works of improvement of station building, entrance porch, platform shelter, improvement of waiting hall, retiring room, toilet, circulating area, parking, entry/exit gate and signage have been completed. The works of platform surfacing, development of second entry, lift and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Jammu division of Northern Railway:
Budgam station: The works of improvement of circulating, parking and approach road have been completed. The works of lift and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Gurdaspur station: The works of station building, platform shelter, improvement of platform surface, waiting room, toilet, circulating area, porch and lighting have been completed. The works of new platform no. 2, booking cum waiting hall, circulating area, parking, entry/exit gate on main entry &second side and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan station: The works of improvement of station building, porch, waiting room, toilet, circulating area, parking, approach road, signage and lighting have been completed. The works of platform shelter, platform surfacing, entry/exit gate on main entry side, lift, escalator and 6 m Foot Over bridge have been taken up.
Jharkhand:
Balsiring station: The works of improvement of station building, platform shelter, parking, approach road, Divyangjan toilet and ticket counter have been completed. The works of platform surfacing and Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Bano station: The works of improvement of station building, circulating area, approach road, station lighting and ramp have been completed. The works of platform shelter, platform surfacing, drinking water booth and Divyangjan toilet have been taken up.
Gangaghat station: The works of improvement of station building, platform shelter, circulating area, parking and approach road have been completed. The works of Foot Over Bridge and Divyangjan facilities have been taken up.
Orga station: The works of improvement of station building, platform shelter, platform surfacing, circulating area, approach road, station lighting and Divyangjan toilet have been completed. The work of Divyangjan parking has been taken up.
Tatisilwai station: The works of improvement of station building, entrance porch, platform shelter, waiting hall, circulating area, approach road and signage have been completed. The work of Foot Over Bridge has been taken up.
Pali Lok Sabha Constituency:
Falna station: The works of station building, platform surfacing, platform shelter and circulating area have been completed. The works of lift and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Jawai Bandh station: The works of main station building, platform surfacing and platform shelter at platform no. 1 have been completed. The works of platform surfacing at platform no. 2, lift at platform no. 1 and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Marwar Junction station: The works of main station building and circulating area have been completed. The works of platform shelter, platform surfacing, lift at platform no. 1 and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Rani station: The works of station building at main and second entry, platform surfacing, platform shelter, circulating area and tactile pathway for Divyangjan have been completed. The work of lift has been taken up.
Jalgaon Lok Sabha Constituency:
Amalner station: The works of extension of platform no. 1, platform surfacing, platform shelter at platform no. 2 and approach road have been completed. The finishing works of new second entry building at North side and new building with concourse have been taken up.
Chalisgaon station: The works of platform surfacing, platform shelter and toilets have been completed. The works of improvement of station building, circulating area, parking, landscaping and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.
Pachora Junction station: The works of new booking office at second entry, improvement of existing booking office at main entry side, platform shelter, platform surfacing, circulating area and parking at both sides and boundary wall have been completed. The works of improvement of existing Foot Over Bridge and toilet block have been taken up.
Further, development / redevelopment / upgradation / modernisation of stations on Indian Railways is a continuous and ongoing process and works in this regard are undertaken as per requirement, subject to inter-se priority and availability of funds. Development / redevelopment / upgradation / modernisation of a station is carried out based on category of station/condition/traffic handled etc.
