Centre for Development of Telematics signs MoU with Rashtriya Raksha University, Gandhinagar to boost Collaborative research and innovation in strategic areas of National importance

Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), the premier R&D centre of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications, Government of India and Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Gandhinagar, an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, sign a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for jointly collaborating on products in telecom and Cyber security domain.

Under, the MoU, C-DOT in coordination with RRU will set up an Innovation-cum-Experience Centre at RRU’s campus. The centre will spearhead collaborative research, innovation, and technology development in critical domains including: Cybersecurity, Quantum Technologies, AI/ML, IoT/M2M solutions, 5G networks and Mission Critical Services. The facility will serve as a hub for incubation, mentoring, and partnerships with startups, industry, and academia, fostering a vibrant innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. It will also conduct training, capacity-building, and skilling programs to build an industry ready workforce.

A key program of the collaboration is a focused project on C-DOT’s indigenous cybersecurity solution, TRINETRA – a Unified AI-powered Cyber Security Solution. The centre will act as a dedicated platform for demonstrations, hands-on training, experiential learning, and capability building on TRINETRA. It will provide specialized exposure for stakeholders, including State Police, law enforcement agencies, government officials, and other authorized participants, to boost cybersecurity awareness, operational readiness, and skill development.

This alliance aims to drive indigenous innovation, research, and skill development, aligning with India’s national priorities in managing risks associated with digital transformation.

By partnering with C-DOT, RRU is committed to nurturing talent and technologies that safeguard India’s digital future”, he added.

The MoU was signed at the RRU campus in Gandhinagar in the presence of Dr. Rajkumar Upadhyay, CEO, C-DOT; Prof. (Dr.) Kalpesh H. Wandra, Pro Vice-Chancellor, RRU; Mr. Avinash Kharel, Dean – Affiliations and Accreditations, RRU; and Dr. Chandresh Parekh, Director – SITAICS, along with senior officials from both institutions.
