Ministry of Steel Concludes Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 with felicitation of Safai Mitras
Ministry of Steel successfully concluded Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 campaign, which included a series of activities over the campaign period aimed at promoting cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental sustainability. The campaign culminated in a special felicitation ceremony for Safai Mitras held at the Steel Room, Udyog Bhawan on 2nd October, 2025.
During the campaign period, a Safai Mitra Suraksha Shivir was organized to conduct health check-ups and raise awareness among safai mitras about safe work practices, ensuring their health and safety while fostering a safer and healthier work environment.
Students of Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School, Harkesh Nagar, Delhi, were felicitated for their participation in Drawing and Waste-to-Art competitions, showcasing their creativity and imagination in promoting cleanliness and sustainability.
Officials, employees, and safai mitras also participated in the Nationwide Shramdan ‘Ek Din Ek Ghanta Ek Saath’ on 25.09.2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM outside Udyog Bhawan, demonstrating collective responsibility towards a clean environment.
As part of Swachhotsav, Shri Sandeep Poundrik, Secretary, Ministry of Steel, along with SAIL CMD Shri Amarendu Prakash, led the Swachhata Run at Nehru Park, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi on 27.09.2025. The event saw enthusiastic participation from senior officials and employees, reflecting unity, responsibility, and a shared commitment to cleanliness.
During the campaign, Ministry also provided 150 new large twin-bins for installations across various tourist spots in South, West and Central Delhi areas to strengthen cleanliness efforts.
With these activities, Ministry of Steel has reaffirmed its commitment to promote cleanliness, environmental sustainability and public awareness, contributing to a cleaner and greener India.
