Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Schemes

As per information provided by the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Mission, the issue of inclusion/exclusion in the use of Aadhaar for DBT Schemes has been examined from time to time. The DBT Mission has also issued the O.M. no. D-26011/04/2017-DBT dated 19^th December, 2017 (copy at annexure) in this connection to all Central Ministries/Departments as well as to States/UTs.

The Department undertakes measures from time to time for building awareness about its schemes, including the processes and eligibility criteria, amongst beneficiaries/target groups.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment, Shri A. Narayanaswamy in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today.
