PM Shri Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat a Beacon of Learning, Inspiration and Environmental Consciousness, Says Shri Sarbananda Sonowal

The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, today expressed heartfelt appreciation for Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s latest edition of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, calling it a wonderful platform of inspiration and learning that celebrates India’s vibrant spirit of nation-building and environmental sensitivity.

Speaking in response to the Prime Minister’s address, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal said, “Mann Ki Baat brings to light inspiring stories and transformative initiatives from every corner of the country. It has evolved into a deeply enriching programme that not only educates but also uplifts the soul.”

Reflecting on the profound impact of the broadcast, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal said, “Given the global stature and deep connection that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has with the people,‘Mann Ki Baat’ serves as a powerful medium that allows citizens to hear directly from him and get inspired towards the cause of building a stronger, more united India.”

Shri Sonowal particularly appreciated PM Modi’s emphasis on Kaziranga National Park in the latest episode. “The Prime Minister’s mention of Kaziranga’s rich avian biodiversity beyond its iconic rhinoceros is a matter of immense pride for Assam and the Northeast. It is heartening to hear him highlight the first-ever Grassland Bird Census and the innovative use of technology such as AI for ecological conservation.”

In his broadcast, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said, “Though Kaziranga is famous for its Rhinos, this time the topic of discussion is its grasslands and the birds living in them. For the first time, a ‘Grassland Bird Census’ has been conducted here, identifying over 40 species of birds, including many rare ones. Technology did wonders in this. Sound recording devices were used, and with the help of AI, birds were identified without disturbing them. When technology and sensitivity come together, understanding nature becomes so easy and deep.”

Echoing this sentiment, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal added, “Such initiatives show the way forward for sustainable co-existence between humanity and nature. PM’s vision of blending innovation with compassion towards the environment is a lesson for all of us and a beacon for the next generation.”

The Minister reiterated that ‘Mann Ki Baat’ continues to be a guiding light, fostering a culture of awareness, inspiration, and collective national pride. Sonowal tuned into the programme from his residence here along with BJP party members, govt. officials as well as the public.
