CGST Thane Holds Outreach Programme to Enhance Taxpayer Engagement

In an effort to widen the taxpayer base and strengthen industry engagement, the CGST & Central Excise Thane Commissionerate organised an outreach programme on 7th July 2025. The event saw active participation from representatives of various trade associations.

In his inaugural address, Commissioner of CGST & Central Excise Thane provided a brief overview of the Commissionerate’s GST collection performance and expressed gratitude to trade representatives for their consistent contribution towards revenue mobilisation.

During the interactive session, trade associations raised multiple issues, which were duly acknowledged by the Commissioner for appropriate action. Representatives present, including Chairman of FII, Shri Bhalchandra Singh Raorane; President of TSSIA Shri Sandeep Parikh; Immediate Past President of TISSA, Smt. Sujata Soparkar; and Treasurer of KAMA, Shri Manoj Jalan appreciated the initiative and emphasised the importance of such interactive sessions for effective communication between tax administration and stakeholders. They also requested the Commissionerate to organise similar programmes periodically, a suggestion that was positively accepted by the Commissioner CGST & C.Ex Thane.
