Activities of Secretary-General in Spain, 1-2 March

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon arrived in Madrid from Geneva in the early afternoon of Tuesday, 1 March.

His first meeting was with Foreign Minister Jose-Manuel Garcia-Margallo, with whom he later spoke to the press.

The Secretary-General was later hosted to dinner by the Foreign Minister.

On Wednesday, he spoke by phone to King Felipe VI of Spain before flying to Burkina Faso.
