J U D G M E N T (oral)
1. Present petition is taken up on mentioning made on behalf of learned Standing Counsel for the State.
2. Present petition has been filed by petitioner-father under Article 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India seeking directions to the respondent nos.1 to 5 to search his daughter, who is apprehended to be in illegal custody of respondent no.6.
3. Pursuant to order dated 08.12.2023, learned counsel appearing for State submits that alleged missing girl, who is 21 years old, has been rescued and produced in the Court today.
4. Ms. ‘S’ is present in Court and this Court has interacted with the girl. She submits that she is major and has married respondent no.6-Mr.Bhola Singh out of her own free will and without any compulsion. She submits that she is living as wife of respondent no.6.
5. Petitioner, father of the Ms. ‘S’ along with his wife, namely, Ms.Nirmala are present in Court and submit that they have no objection if their daughter is married to respondent no.6. Petitioner has requested this Court that their daughter along with her husband and her in-laws be directed to visit their house, so that they can meet her and respondent no.6 along with his family members to bring social repute to the newly wedded couple.
6. Accordingly, SI Deepak from police station Pulprehladpur, IO of the case, who is present in Court, is directed to take the couple to the house of the petitioner, who are at liberty to meet petitioner and his family for one hour or even stay, if so desired.
7. The IO concerned is directed to stay with the couple at least for one hour when they meet the petitioner and his family. Liberty is granted to the couple to call the IO concerned in case any assistance is required. It goes without saying that in case petitioner or any of his family member or relative create any hurdle in the married life of the couple, they shall face the consequences as per law.
8. With aforesaid directions, petition is disposed of.
9. The date already fixed i.e. 15.12.2023 stands cancelled.
