W.P.(C) 4586/2024
1. Mr. Sanjay Sharawat, learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that on 7 March 2024, The Higher & Technical Education Division of Government of Maharashtra had written to the Director of Higher Education, State of Maharashtra to call upon the petitioner to obtain a clarification from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to the effect that the medium of instructions in which the petitioner was conducting its courses was English.
2. Mr. Sharawat submits that his client has, albeit verbally, made repeated efforts to obtain a clarification from the NCTE in that regard but is unable to do so, whereupon the petitioner has been constrained to knock at the door of this Court.
3. In my opinion, ends of justice would stand subserved if this petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to address a representation to the NCTE within three days, seeking the above clarification. On said representation being received by the NCTE, a decision on the representation would be taken positively within ten days thereof and communicated to the petitioner forthwith.
4. Needless to say, should the petitioner continue to remain aggrieved by the decision of the NCTE, the rights in law in that regard would remain reserved.
5. This writ petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
