The Directorate General of Taxpayers Services, Mumbai Zonal Unit (DGTS, MZU) will celebrate the 8th anniversary of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on July 1, 2025. This milestone marks a significant achievement in India’s tax history, transforming the tax landscape and fostering a more business-friendly environment.

GST has ushered in a new era of taxation, bringing transparency, efficiency, and stability to India’s tax regime. By subsuming multiple taxes and levies, GST has simplified the tax structure, reduced compliance burden, and improved the Ease of Doing Business.
